Our Story
Founded with a passion for excellence in the hotel industry, Stone Crest Hotels has a vision to create not just a place to stay, but a place where guests feel at home with provided amenities and comfort . From our humble beginnings with a single property in 2008 we have grown into a renowned name in the hotel industry with properties in the Interior and Northern British Columbia and Alberta. Our founders started working in the hotel industry in early 2000 and after 8 years of hotel operation experience we purchased our first 34 rooms Howard Johnson Inn in Kamloops downtown. Since 2008 we have grown into an experienced hotel company with 15 hotels owned directly by us.
Growth & Expansion
As our reputation spread, so did our footprint. Since October of 2023 we have expanded our horizons, acquiring properties in Cranbrook, Smithers, Dawson Creek, Fort St John, Whitecourt and Peace River. We have renovated and rebranded our newly acquired properties while maintaining the high standards that our guests have come to expect.
Our long term future plans include building new hotels and acquiring hotels that require major renovations. Our in house renovation division is experienced in redesigning and doing extensive hotel renovations. As we look forward our mission remains the same: to be known as a leading hospitality company that acquires hotels and brings newly acquired hotels to higher industry standards.
The Founder
Pinder Banipal has been involved in the real estate and hospitality industry for over 20 years now. Pinder has dedicated his entire adult life to the hospitality and real estate industry. Pinder professional career started with working at various hotels gaining experience in hotel operations along with attending university in hotel management. Pinder has also gained experience in purchasing and selling real estate for the last decade as an active member of British Columbia real estate associations.
Pinder brings a wealth of experience to every project our company undertakes and his meticulous attention to detail has resulted in every acquired property producing amazing financial results numbers . He plays a major role in finding and acquiring new properties, working with the team to create plans for improvement and operational future plans and has been instrumental in positioning the company where it is today.
